Programs at Vista Grande Elementary
PTA provides funding and volunteers to support many programs at our school - here are some examples:
Music Teacher - Our fabulous Mrs. Dillon wouldn't be possible with out your support of our PTA as we fund this program for our students. Mrs. Dillion teaches the following:
Kinder and 1st Grade - Singing 2nd & 3rd Grade - Flutophones (and reading music!)
4th Grade - Square Dancing
Our 5th Graders this year are doing ballroom dancing thanks to a new programs put on by EduDance. We've heard some great feedback on this. Ask your 5th grader how to do the tango? Students will be having a performance for parents in May.
Art Teacher - The art teacher is also made possible by our PTA. The teacher works with all students doing various drawing techniques and mediums. ALL artwork will be honored with placement on Artsonia and Mrs. Warner will also head up the PTA Art Reflections program.
Computer Teacher - Students visit the computer lab and are instructed on how to use various computer programs (MS Word, PowerPoint). The computer teacher is funded partially by PTA.
Did you know.....the PTA runs the "Lunch Fund" so if you child forgets their lunch or lunch money, they can go to the office and borrow money to buy lunch.
